Hi friends,
I'm just starting digging into a new DAW I bought called Reaper. I've worked in pro tools in the past so I'm pretty familiar with these programs as far as navigation and simple editing. The midi and further exploration of effects are what are more new to me.
I've got my first section of the song done, as in everything up to the drop, an intro, a hook, a build. But I can't quite figure out what all needs to be in the drop so that it sounds like, well, a drop. Also, I figure I may as well use the ascending pitch shift slide before it, but none of the wave shapes sound right. Any pointers for how you went about yours?
(Now of course, you can put anything into your song because "it's yours!" But I'm doing this out of an exercise to create something at a decent level to completion so that I can replicate the process and continue learning. That's where I'll add my own voice more, once I have the basic toolbox)
