I've found myself over the years gaining the spark and enthusiasm to produce comes and goes, sometimes for months either way. I'll get the spark and crack on without thinking too much about things and the loops I edit, patches I make etc all seem to slot into a place nicely and the ideas flow and work. Then after a few weeks of good work my interest and ideas simply just taper away, I have no idea why and it's incredibly frustrating as I know I can create half-decent sounding tracks.
What does everyone else do when you're enthusiasm as rolled off? It's a strange one as I still really want to work on making music but when I'm sat at my desk with the DAW open, nothing seems to work.
