So as the title may suggest I'm running out of space on my laptop, and I've got a question on what do you guys do with shelved projects? I've been going through my files recently and I originally thought that I most of the space was being taken up was from samples (kind of is but not really) and I found that most of the space being taken up was by shelved projects. So I was wondering what would be the best way to store them would be. Would an external hard drive be sufficient?
Background stuff: I've got a 250gb laptop (2 years), when I first started I didn't properly organize my samples and so I probably have a ton of duplicate samples but I have so many project files now that it'll take an extensively long amount of time to figure out where each duplicate is. So I'm going for the straightforward approach of just simply storing all of my older projects (I always come back to them for inspiration, ideas, and all the other cliché reasoning) on external hard drive and just have the EHD handy. What do you guys think?
TL;DR: Where would be the best place to store my old projects? External Hard Drive?
