I'm a pretty new producer so I'm having troubling trying to get my songs to move along as smooth of possible. I don't want my songs to take too dramatic of a change like each new parts feel like a bridge. I think I'm asking from a song writing perspective but production tips help too. When I listen to my songs it doesn't feel like one coherent whole that fit together nicely. It feels more like a bunch of pieces of items that are thrown together without the glue in between to connect them.
