Hi guys,
So I know it's not exactly about EDM, but I believe it is still part of the edm production process.
Once you have a track, you need some kind of visual. A picture is the minimum, a lyric video might be ok, but a real video is the most engaging medium to get people to watch (and consequently listen to) your track.
On facebook, for example, my first track was a YouTube video with a still picture, my friends and family listened to it, commented and shared it on their wall to a certain extent (around 10 shares in one week). For my second track, I did a homemade music video, and the difference was immediately noticeable: in one day, 25 shares in one day. Comments and views also exceeded the previous track.
Now, I'm thinking about my next music video and was wondering if and how you guys do music videos? Any tips/ideas/advices to share? For a single producer, I feel like it's much harder than a band who can just record themselves rehearse.
