Whenever I hear people talking about this, like not having more then 3-5 melodic elements playing at the same time what do they mean by this?
I mean, some layered chords probably count as one, but does the bass also belongs to the chord "melodic element" etc.?
And drum samples like a kick and snare is probably not a melodic element?
