Hey guys,
So i know that you can easily start damaging your ears while being in the studio and cranking up the volume. I think deadmau5 said that in his masterclass that there‘s a certain peak and you should never go above. So my question is how can i find out if i‘m exceeding this peak or not? I know it‘s just a certain db level but how am i supposed to know how high the db level is that comes out of my speakers (or headphones)?
In addition, is there a way to prevent any volume exceeding that limit? Like putting a limiter on the master and always keep my interface and speakers on the same level?
Additional question: when does the damaging start? Already after seconds i‘m exceeding the peak or only if i listen to the same volume over a longer period?
Thanks in advance!
