So I've been working with FL studio on and off for about a year now and I've made 2 tracks in that time. One that is just a mismatch of so many different things stitched together in a really awful way. The other is one that I wanted to make chillout but ended up getting a really strong melody that was too fast and too intense to be chillout. The song is currently some hybrid of a couple styles I like, but I frequently run into the problem of not knowing how to transition smoothly between the parts. Often it is hard for me to think up a way to do it or find what I'm looking for to do the transition. The formatting is largely the biggest problem because even though I know where I need to transition. I don't know what would fill the gap and not be too small or too big. I'm fairly new to making music with only 2 years experience with someone else and 1 year of doing it myself, so any help is appreciated. I want to make the first track I fully finish something I can be proud of.
