I just recently switched to Ableton on my 13in 2011 Macbook Pro, and while I love the workflow and features built into Ableton it is kind of a pain to make edits on such a small screen
I'm going to be adding a separate display to my system, and I wanted to know if there is anything you guys specifically reccomend when it comes to music production.
I work on projects that have a moderately high track count, and like to see the mixer, I'm leaning towards an ultrawide monitor so I can view all of my channels at once without having to scroll. My question: is having an ultrawide helpful for your setup? or is it just better to get a bigger monitor? Will my dinosaur laptop even support a 16:9 ratio?
Are there any other aspects I should consider when looking for a monitor? I won't be gaming or video editing, just need something that can show me Ableton, browse reddit, and not hurt my bank account too badly. Thanks in advance for any pointers.
