Hey everyone,
Still after some time for me one of the hardest things is to get the sub bass right in house tracks. On a recent track i got a lead synth that plays fast notes, kind of like an arpeggiator, the notes are obviously a few different notes. The sub bass for the tune plays the same notes as the lead synth (i think it's 1/16th notes). When i referenced the track i noticed that the bass doesn't have a powerful low end compared to other tracks. Could i just go and layer straight sub notes that play the same note over and over again? Or is this musically incorrect? Any other approach to solve this?
additional i'm wondering, are short sub bass notes always less powerful or is my low end mix the problem?
Thanks in advance!
