Hello Community! Seeing Extrawelt the other night live for the 7th time, finally broke the straw and I am getting on this journey. I have been DJ-ing Techno, Electronica for the past 3 years and have now planned my journey as follows, would very much appreciate your thoughts and any tips you might have to learn as efficiently as possible:
- Learning Maschine Basics.
- Learning Music Theory via Maschine.
-
Learning Producing Techno via Maschine. -> Milestone: Incorporate Maschine Sets in my DJ-Live-Performance and practice, as well as having a fundamental understanding on drum production, pattern design and music theory.
-
Learning Ableton Basics.
-
Do a walkthrough step-by-step from MusicProductionLive (Melodic Techno). While they only show what to do and not why to do it, it would give me both a motivating success (have my own song), as well as an overview on different key parts. Finally it would be a basis to start working on my first own project, allowing me to re-use and modify individual parts. That would then go in parallel with:
-
Do a more in-depth Training on Ableton Production.
-
Learn NI-Komplete Instruments (Relevant seems to be: Massive, Battery, Reaktor plus any of the ones, that fit my style/taste).
-> First own Project completed.
Thank you!
Any help will be rewarded by free tickets to my first live event :-P
