In case you don't know, parallel compression happens when you duplicate a track and send it to a different mixer channel, you leave the original sound source uncompressed and then you heavily compress the duplicated instance. The result is a fuller sound. I've recently started to use this technique a lot more often than I used to, and it has been helping me a bit. What about you guys? Do you use this technique at all?
