What sound and style do you think is starting to gain momentum and why? Who are the pioneering artists behind that sound and movement?
Some random thoughts that I know people will get very offended about: -Dance/Electronic umbrella has gained pretty big momentum with more electronic and "future" sounds from artists like San Holo, Manila Killa, Louis The Child, Sam Gallaitry, etc-Feels like the age and era of "future" has come and peaked (especially future bass) -Before that, "trap" blew up but started to fade and give birth to "future bass" which can sometimes be a bit milder -Hip -hop and Pop (ultimately just trendy artists) are being integrated pretty heavily into more mainstream pop/edm/dance music -Psy-Trance is starting to come back a bit and maybe a slower/lower bpm version will sprout as a result -Trance turned into "trouse" and then big room and then just mediocre dance music (looking at you A&B) -Big room has died and most of those larger artists are starting to veer back towards their original trance roots. Trance might be on the slow but steady ride again.
