Hi all, first of all if this isn't the right place to post a technical issue like this then please redirect me, but as a producer myself it looks like you guys like headphones.
I recently bought a pair of new Beyerdynamic DT 880 Chrome headphones (250 ohm) off of eBay from BuyDig and I was hyped when they arrived early. I tried to plug them into my laptop but instantly something didn't sound right. Everything sounds very airy and there are little to no lower frequencies. I figured the 250 ohm versions so I figured they would work okay on a laptop, but they seem to work okay on my iPhone.
One issue that I considered is that my aux plug has a small part missing on the inside, but this doesn't stop lower end audio devices from working on it. Here is the best picture of the inside that I could get - any advice on fixing this would help as well.
My friend suggested a usb to aux adapter but would this lower audio quality or cause any issues?
Thank you everyone
