I was thinking of what a DJ can do to make me enjoy their set, and I wanted to compare that to expectations from other people who participate in the industry. Let's hear your thoughts!
Some of the things that came to my mind are having a recently released song/remix that you know people want to hear, how much they move and interact with the crowd, being able to actually read the crowd and tailor their set accordingly, if there's live instruments being performed at the same time (like Keys and Kate's' live drumming or Manatee Commune's violin playing, and especially having a fluid set that keeps you drawn in (I have ADHD so I often find myself struggling to resist the urge to people watch the crowd and look around instead of being absorbed into the music).
