So I am asking for a friend of mine that wants to learn how to play the old acoustic guitar her dad had, it's a right handed guitar with old strings and she is left-handed.
Now I play the drums so I'm just as clueless as she is but I am pretty sure she could just get new strings and put them in the opposite order so she can play with the neck on her right hand. She has been looking online but according to her she saw that it's better to get a left handed one since there are problems if you re-string a right handed guitar as you would a left-handed one?
Can anyone explain this to me? Can you just re-string it as a left handed guitar with no problems? Or if there are problems, what can you do about them? Thanks a lot!
