I’m looking to build my own home studio so I can produce music. I’ve been looking into studio monitors and saw the JBL LSR305s being highly recommended for that price range. But I’ve also seen people say it’s not even worth it to buy studio monitors at that price range and I should just buy a good pair of studio headphones to mix. So should I buy the LSRs or just buy a good pair of headphones? If so what is the best pair of studio headphones I can buy for 300-400ish? I’ve heard the Sennheiser HD 650 Open Back Professional Headphones are amazing. I’d like to make my mix as close to professional radio quality as possible.

EDIT: Seems like most people agree that the studio monitors are a much better choice. What’s the best pair to get for 3-400ish? I’m looking to make my music sound professional so it can stream online and such.
