So I am new to making music in general but have decided that, I really wanted to take this seriously. I first started off with reaper, which was very good for me in terms of understanding how a daw would would work and have gotten myself an akai mpk2 midi controller just so I can understand how midi and daws work. I just recently got the demo version of Fl 12 and realize how much easier it is for me to make music and the workflow was noticeable better. but i know that ableton is also very popular in the edm producer circle and I am conflicted on what to get, as I do plan on paying for everything I get as I don't want to get any crack versions, as I want to support the developers and what not. I really like the aspect of how I can perform live with ableton and how they have midi made products for the daw such as the Push 2, Launchpad, and the mpd. But it is very expensive and I am not really sure if it would be worth it. I do Love Fl Studio so far but I am not sure how good the live functioning is on it, and if I should get a dj controller and perform with that. If you can please help me I would greatly appreciate it as I have been struggling to come to a conclusion for a while now. (Btw I can get Ableton standard for 269 while I can get FL studio produce for 179.)
