Are studio headphones having extended infrasonic and ultrasonic frequency response better than headphones with lesser range?

Human hearing range is between 20-20,000 Hz. But some headphones are said to go as low as 5 Hz or high as 28000 Hz. Are these extra range beneficial for monitoring purposes?
