Okay, so this is stupidly simple, but I've been using it for maybe ten minutes and it's amazing. Anyways, literally find anything in your entire house with the perfect height. Put it underneath your computer. Boom, standing desk.
I never thought of doing this (to the point where you can stand), so I'm assuming some of you guys haven't either. Obviously it has big disadvantages for mixing if your monitors are still on the static desk, but if you're not mixing it doesn't matter. I spend so much time outside of mixing that this is actually gonna help me be able to work for long periods again. Plus, at the perfect height, your wrists never need to be bent. I can also move around and dance whenever, so aside from constant exercise for hours and hours every day I'm not gonna have nearly as many sitting or compression problems. Another interesting benefit, is it literally is another perspective on your music. I'm already noticing similar benefits to, say, listening to a mix from another room. It's just different enough to make me listen in different ways.
Then when I'm mixing all I have to do is take it out from underneath the computer. Dassit. If you aren't used to ghetto stuff, just try it, way better than nothing and it'd be stupid to refrain from an incredibly helpful solution just because of "how it looks."
Before anyone says "Argh just get a Varidesk matey ahoy thar," I'd like to say that if that was an option I would clearly have one lmao.
