I currently use FL Studio with Launchpad Pro and a midi keyboard. You can obviously create great stuff with it.
I'm curious about hardware units, hopefully standalone. Seems like it would be nice not having to worry about if your PC is fast enough, etc.
I've been looking into hardware units like the Maschine mk3 or the MPC Live. I've been thinking about trying to capture that hands on feel. Maybe it would make writing music feel new again.
I'm just not sure if it's really worth it. It seems like they are much more limiting, and FL Studio is more versatile, plus allows for better arranging, mixing, etc.
Plus since I already have a pad controller in the Launchpad Pro, I could probably do similar stuff in FL with chopping, and MPC style workflow.
I'd like to hear other people's opinion.
