Maybe it's the lack of VSTs or as I have grown in my music I've gotten more paranoid about the mixing process. The beat making and structuring I think sounded more pleasing(to me at least) in FL. I really want to like Ableton due to how simple it is to create things into the tracks and start mixing right away but I feel that could be the problem.
I've been demoing these DAWs and Ableton has been a bitch for me to wrap my head around but I'm thinking of just going back to FL. I really don't know what I'm trying to say here or ask. I may be thinking out loud. I know it's the users fault and not the DAW. But it's been years since I've used FL and to see my stuff deteriorate and then ping back and relearning FL again is daunting.
I guess what I want to ask is, anyone out there start with Ableton then switch to FL and like it more? I'd still consider myself an amateur.
