- TLDR below
-
All of reasons is derived from my thought 'Perhaps It's better to have knowledge, It may dramatically(?) support your work quality'
-
I know, OFC, having it is better than not, but is it that NECESSARY?
-
Today I had a special chance to get into one of top ten clubs of my country, to be an intern and learn some introduction of audio engineer, an AE introduced me well, He was kind
-
But I somehow feel like 'This isn't right' (?)
-
and Live Sound is something difference from my goal
-
Maybe even in a record studio too
-
Is it better to be at my studio, investing time for composing my music, deep learning at some synth or grinding at DAW, ...
-
But due to my first thought, It's about KNOWLEDGE (Signal Flow, Compression, and all things in rabbit hole) that hesitates me, I want it from there
-
There might be huge amount of money to put for AE course & diploma for knowledge (vs good gears??)
-
Especially about time, I really concern about time, I don't want to waste it, If it's not worth it (But If It's, I'm willing)
-
Can you guys name some REAL big names (EDMProducer, all genres) who have audio engineer background before stepped in?
TLDR: Is it that NECESSARY (to have knowledge in audio engineer field) to be a good and skillful producer? - Feel 1000% free to share your opinion, It really mixes me up, I want to be clear about it // TY much
