I tend to produce in spurts of creativity and then take breaks. Whenever another burst of creativity comes I find my productions much better than the last even if I haven't worked very hard since then. I'm wondering if anybody here has advice for keeping up the work ethic to produce and keep making music I like. I understand I cannot ALWAYS be at the top of my game, but I'm sure I can keep up more. One note is that I seem to get this way when discovering something new, I love Illenium's music and style of production, specifically the vocal driven aspect. I find myself incapable of creating music without vocals and keeping it exciting. Once I found that splice has song vocals I immediately wrote and finished 3-4 songs, 2 of them being productions I really liked. Without sustainable amounts vocals though, I find myself running out of creative material. This creates somewhat of a second question, any advice here? Thank you so much :)
