I have a problem I run into ALL THE FUCKING TIME!!!!! Which is the dreaded CPU wall. At the same time, when I bounce out stems, 90% of the time I end up going back to the original to make some tweaks, and it's very time consuming.
What DAW handles freezing in the BEST most CPU saving way? I use FL Studio, Studio One, and Pro Tools, and none of them have very good freezing options. Studio one has "Transform to audio track". I know Ableton has a nice freezing function, but how good is it at saving CPU? Is it the same CPU savings as if it was flattened afterwards?
Any other DAW's? Does Bitwig have freezing functionality? Is it any good?
Do any DAW's allow you to "Export an entire track"? That is, say I want to freeze 10 tracks. Is there any DAW that allows you to "export track", freeze and flatten them, and then if you want to change 1 track later, you can "import track" back into the session with the plugin and MIDI and everything? Pro Tools allows this, (Close enough to this) but I'm looking for 1 DAW that handles this in the best way all around.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!
