Hey all, I'm attempting to make some tunes that borrow heavily from old school soul, funk, jazz, and blues music, Ã la producers such as Pretty Lights, Gramatik, Poldoore, etc. but I haven't been satisfied with the results I'm getting, i.e. inadequate effects processing to get desired sound, samples sounding wonky with my percussion, clumsy sounding crossfades, etc. I've done a decent amount of searching for tutorials and such on the subject but haven't found anything that's as specific or in-depth as what I'm looking for.
So does anyone know of any good resources on creative techniques and audio processing of old school music for the purpose of sampling?
Any info/advice appreciated, thanks!
