So basically I've decided im taking the next year(not a new years resolution, trust me :P) to focus hard on the music game like its my full time job. And so the last month I've been exploring the state of mind side of the equation, as I've found that's what has been holding me back in the past.
So i can get the most out of my mind, and my living experiences and being more productive with my time. So far what I've found, works for me, is im planning to keep doing yoga and meditation everyday to start, and probably a meditation session every 4 hours or whatever feels right, to getting back my focus, and creative mind. So far its leading to some pretty productive experiences in other areas of my life as well. So i hope they will be as fruitful, with the music as well.
But as far as the workflow and states of minds you guys probably experience during your music production, or education, do you have any other tips? perhaps ways of bringing the benefits of mindfulness to the practice of making music? i guess the biggest thing is going to be dedicating chunks of time to one or two things. and really minimizing non productive distractions.
But i would love to hear the Pros, or anyone's advice.
