I've read so many times that sound selection is one of the most important parts of mixing. What exactly does that mean?
How do you guys go about selecting your sounds?
How do you know if two sounds go together well?
How do you know how many layers are too many, or if sounds are clashing?
It'd be cool to hear what you guys have to say and get some detailed answers, rather than "you just know"
Thanks in advance!
