Hello,
My name is Alex and although it sounds corny it's my dream to become a successful DJ. I watch people like Dillon Francis perform their live sets in front of these amazing huge crowds and just the adrenaline from watching these videos gets me pumped. I can sit in the bathroom for hours visualizing and pretending to perform to a crowd (embarrassing I know.) Although I am currently a senior in high school my life has kind of already been planned. I am going to study finance and become (if I'm lucky) an investment banker (basically the same thing my dad does)
Now I've been fortunate enough to be able to purchase a keyboard and headphones. (still pirated FL studio though. that sh*t is expensive)
I come to this sub-Reddit to seek advice. Advice on how to get a career in the music industry started, and advice on whether I should stick to my plan or seriously take an attempt at EDM. I know the basics about FL studio and I am still in the process of figuring everything out, I know my first song will probably be garbage and I don't want anyone in my school knowing that I do this in my free time.
