First off, hello!
For quite some time I've wanted to learn how to play an instrument, there are a few places where I could find a teacher / rent instruments, which is already a good start.
One thing I saw from an old reddit thread is that it might be a good idea to play an instrument associated to a music style that I enjoy. In my case, that'd be video game music / orchestral / calm / classical / epic (Ã la Two Steps From Hell or film music).
I'm trying to figure out what kind of instrument would be a decent choice regarding my musical taste and I was looking for suggestions or recommendations.
So far, string instruments like violin, double bass/cello, wind instruments like ocarina and flute or string instruments like the harp came to my mind.
