TL;DR : If the audio crackles during playback owing to increased CPU usage, just minimize the FL Studio window during playback to improve the performance.
While I was playing around in FL Studio yesterday night, I unintentionally left the audio playing in the background and minimized the FL Studio window to do some other work on my PC. A few seconds later, I realized that the audio was playing seamlessly without any crackles. I opened the FL Studio window again to check what has just happened and the audio started crackling again. That's when I found out that minimizing the FL Studio window is causing the playback performance to improve by leaps and bounds. I guess the reason for this behaviour to be associated with FL Studio being pushed to the background by Windows, thereby improving performance.
I know you can always bounce your mixer tracks to improve the performance of your project, but I think every producer should know these kinds of quick tips in case the need arises.
So, I though of sharing this trick as it would really help you guys out. Moreover, giving something back to the community feels good.
