I've actually become interested in this. What 3rd party multiband gate do you use, if any?
I've been using Ableton multiband dynamics a lot; I demonstrated its use in my latest masterclass video (that I posted here as well), and after that I once again received questions regarding what 3rd party plugin that type of multiband gating could be done with. My standard reply to that has been "I don't really know; Ozone had it until version 5 [which doesn't make sense!] but it lost its gate functionality since version 6". Now, lug00ber pointed out the Fabfilter Pro-MB to me, which is amazing.
Now I'm thinking…what multiband gates are there after all, and what are you using? There's plenty of gates, but multiband gates? In Ableton Live, I'm good with its multiband dynamics device, but in Pro Tools I can't be using it. UAD has its Precision Multiband, but it generates so frikkin' much latency, I rarely use it.
I'll probably end up buying Pro-MB, but I'd love to hear what mb gates you guys are rocking!
