Hi, total newbie here trying to wrap my head around edm production, and wondering what equipment I need to really give me the deepest, broadest capacity for unique sound/music generation. I have an Ableton Live trial right now, as that seems to be the most popular DAW, but as far as creating unique sounds, what should I use? Not too worried about cost (well, under $2-3k??). How is Novation Peak? Anything better out there for creating cool sounds?? What else would I need or that you would recommend beyond Ableton Live, Peak (or some other synth?) and perhaps Launchpad? TIA
