I've produced in about 5-6 distinct genres since I started producing (nothing too serious, more like a song or two in each). My current project is a departure from EDM and it's turning out alright in my opinion, but - being a new genre - I'm having problems with the mixing.
What I enjoy about my new project is that I have the freedom to explore idea that I wouldn't necessarily be able to in a more regimented genre.
I find that I miss EDM however, and that it would be nice to go back.
My question is this: Is it worth splitting myself between multiple projects on the off-chance that one of them might eventually develop a following, or focus on only one with that hope?
