Hello! I'm trying to get into creating music for video games, and I have a good knowledge of how to work LMMS as well as it's ZynAddSubFX. I'm looking to create a type of game music that is very similar to EDM, and figured that you all might have some way to help. So, I know that I should start by using my VSTs to create instruments. However, LMMS comes with a whole plethora of instruments. Should I use ZynAddSubFX to modify these instruments, or stick to just using waveforms in my music? Also, are there any rules-of-thumb that I should follow when creating music? And, finally, does anyone have good resources for creating music that I could reference? Thank you very much!
