This community has been pretty vigilant about taking care of their hearing. I've had well received posts in the past concerning tinnitus and hearing loss and have another thing to share.
Today I woke up with the terrifying sensation of barely being able to hear out of my right ear, which has had partial tinnitus for over a year now. My ear has added in a low bass rumble on top of the high pitched noise we usually associate with tinnitus. If you can do it, it sounds like when you purposefully make your ears rumble, in which case you should also join /r/earrumblersassemble.
But enough about me. I did some digging and found the article linked below. It shows that the risk of hearing loss can increase by two times while taking over the counter medication such as acetaminophen (Tylenol), ibuprofen (Advil), or aspirin. This correlates very well with my own experience as I took 5 days of 2400mg of Advil, and 1600mg a day for two weeks after a back injury. While it's early to tell if this amount of medication could have such an immediate effect (I did nothing last night and was fine, no loud concerts), I believed this worth sharing. Pass it on if you like.

Wanted to share this with all of you. Keep yourselves healthy and keep jamming!
