I'm remixing quite a popular track and I'm sure if I were to upload it I would run into copyright issues on SoundCloud and they'd most likely remove it from my channel or have it hidden from public view.
Instead I had the idea of using someones cover vocals instead of the original Acapella. If my logic is correct the cover vocals won't hold any rights therefore sharing my remix of the track with the cover vocals shouldn't impair any copyright issues in terms of sharing/distributing the original material.
Of course I won't be able to sell it, I don't intend to, I only want to be able to share it on my SoundCloud and YouTube (and hopefully other promotional channels if they wish to promote it).
How does this sound? Anything I've missed?
