I've had the Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 for some time now, and for the past year, the audio card will just catastrophically fail and distort and sounds like shit until I unplug it and reboot it.
This is especially troublesome when monitoring big projects, but it will also happen with something as simple as a youtube video.
I understand that it is a relatively entry level interface, at a good price range, but there are other options and I would encourage whomever to explore them.
My native audio card on my mac, or even my bluetooth headphones will process audio better than the focusrite, and thats only at 44k!!
