I'm using JBL LSR 305 monitors (with a LF trim of -2dB) and when playing my kick sample through them, it sounds beautiful. It's full, it's punchy and it's BIG.
But when I checked how the kick sounds through my Samson SR850 headphones, it sounded... well... it sounded like ass. It was just a tiny little sine like, low frequency pop. When I checked it on a different pair of speakers (some generic Logitech speakers) it sounded a bit better, but still, it was just a little fart, compared to the kick that I hear through my monitors.
Why does it happen? How do I fix that? Room treatment?
