I'm am 16 and dream to be a future bass producer and believe i am now for from getting there except one thing is holding me back. I am completely familiar with everything on ni massive and Xfer serum especially. Except wave tables i know how to use them and the concept behind them and what all the knobs and everything do to the wave table in the oscillators. But my problem is that i never know which wave table to use to make the sound that i want. I know the possibilities of saws, squares, triangles, and sin and a few other ones.
But say if I have a idea for a sound or hear a sound I want to recreate I know what filters and modulation's and fx's i need to apply but i never know what wave table to start with. Basically the only thing is i never know what wave table to use.
If I'm going for a particular style i can usually find a tutorial on YouTube and watch until they show what wave table they use and then I can almost always do the rest my self with out needing to know anything else besides what wave table to use.
This is a problem because I want my music and sounds to be unique and don't really want to sound like anyone else but its hard when you don't know hoe to use wave tables effectively.
Anyone else have or had this problem and what could i do besides sit in front of the computer all day for a couple months practising.
And I know about reverse engineering presets and stuff all help would be appreciated.
