Okay so I have no idea whether this is possible with the equipment I have, but I think it's worth asking anyway.
Basically, I want to play a MIDI sequence (for example, a whole song with fills etc.) from Logic Pro X through a Korg Volca Beats unit so the audio plays out of the Volca's internal speakers or its 3.5mm headphone jack.
Currently, I have an Alesis Q49 keyboard connected to my mac via USB. The keyboard's MIDI out port is connected to the Volca's MIDI in port. I've set up the keyboard and Volca unit so a key stroke on the keyboard triggers the Volca (e.g. playing a low C triggers the kick).
So my question is this - is it at all possible to play a long MIDI sequence from Logic on my Volca with the above set up? If not, what gear do I need?
