Hi guys, is very probable you know some of this channels, but some of these are amazing and can complement what you learn on them since most tend to simplify things.
1-Michael New
It was obvious this was gonna be the first, no one explains things as easy and concise. The only problem with this channel is that if you want to expand more your knowledge there aren't many videos.
2-12Tone
How come this channel doesn't have more suscribers? I'm sure you've seen videos with the drawing style of channels like Vi Heart, Minute Phisics or Minute Earth. This channel does the same, is well explained and has a great amount of videos. I recommend to chord functions videos like tonic, subdominant and dominant, it can help you to make chord progressions.
3-jazztutorial
Ok, maybe you're not interested in jazz, but after all this channel explains music theory. He does ore detailed explanations if you want to dig deeper. I recommend his explanations on the greek modes. This channel doesn't only tell you the building blocks and a bit more but also shows more examples on popular music using those blocks and how to use them.
4-Ongaku Concept
Not a purely theory based channel but it gives you good tips on composing in a very interesting way
5-worshipwoodshed
This channel explains things others like for example family chords. However I don't recommend you watch this channel exclusively since it doesn't give you any example of how things sounds, so use it as a complimentary channel
6-The Synthetic Orchestra
Not a music theory channel, but his arrangements are incredible and it shows how some of it's pieces are created adn arranged so you can learn from it on a more practical level.
7-Why These Notes - Adventures in Music Theory
I doesn't have many videos but as the videos I recomended for 12tone his ones also complement well on helping to understand chord progressions and how to use them.
I would also like to include a link to some website that are more like tool
1-hooktheory shows songs structures and you can learn things from songs you like.
2-This site is amazing when you have a few notes or chords and you wanna now in what key it could be, it also has other tools but this is the one I use the most.
I'll keep editing this OP as more resources come to my mind so maybe the OP title will fall short.
Btw, if you know how can link this to similar subreddits like musictheory or any other where you think it would fit tell me please! :D
