I have never done anything musical in my life but now I want to start creating. I have a small midi keyboard somewhere, a free music creation tool, lmms and some ideas. If it is helpful I want to create something in the ambient/post rock genre.
The problem is that I don't have a clue where to start. What do I need to learn? Where can I find good resources? Etc...
Any pointers to information or just advice on how to get started would be greatly appreciated.
