I'm a guitar player, and I've been playing for 7 years. When I memorize things, I'm fine and can play most things. But when I'm reading something, it'll take 45 minutes-1 hour to get one page down. Most of you will say "read ahead" or "don't stop no matter how bad you're doing, just play what you can." But when I try to read ahead, I have to think really hard about the notes I'm looking at, which makes me not focus on what is currently going on in the music, and I have to stop playing most of the time because I'm not even playing anything cause my brain isn't fast enough to process the notes, even on simple sheet music. :(((((
Please help! I'm practicing, but each practice session just results in failure.
