So yes, I'm a music newb, but you have to start somewhere
I discovered Adam Jensen's Street Fight originally https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBZIDOnIdd0 and haven't found the sheet music for it, but realized it sounds exactly like some other songs-
Demi Lovato's Confident (recognized this one) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcTKxqW6e0A
Looking at Confident's music notes online, I found it's 12/8
...Huh?
I think half the problem is I might not fully know what 12/8 is, but I have gone through numerous tutorials, and realize it's 4/4 with triplets- but i can't hear them at all in Confident, or any of these songs.
Other 12/8 songs seem really obvious with the emphasis on the 1,4,7,10 th beats out of 12.....but....ugh
Saw somewhere on reddit that said listen to the singer's voice as that is where it will be heard, not the lyrics- so if you go and listen to Confident's instrumental confident instrumental demi lovato , you cannot pick it out? If that's true , I can't hear it in Demi's voice anyway....
What I hear in Confident: drum-drum --drum-clap repeating(and match it with triples...can't do it)... -What am I missing? And a lot of other 12/8s don't sound like these three songs, so it's hard to use them to compare.
Music notes I found for Confident that i'm trying to correlate... https://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtd.asp?ppn=MN0155421
If this is the wrong topic, let me know- and i'll try to find the right one
