So this may be known by many, and I was ignorant of it, but I’m so excited about this and wanted to share.
After you have hi hats or shakers programmed, throw Ableton’s vocoder on as an effect.
Make sure the carrier is set to noise, and adjust the release with wet at 100%.
You now have a way to add a tail effect to any hi hat, and automate it to build tension and add variation to your hats.
