I guess(imho) most of us will never get famous doing music, nor rich or wealthy, heck, even recognition it hard to become. Why spend thousand of hours or money on something that is not appreciated by people, your music may never stand out and reach large masses, because the music you make must meet the mainstream criteria first to compete. Atleast as a painter you can just hang your painted pictures on the wall, it's there, your achievement has a value, but the music is just a digital file stored on your drive and none gives a damn about it, your time you invested into this, money, emotions, none cares. Why try to do this unappreciated job ever, if your music is only a hobby, then why spend thousand of hours to become a master, why wasting thousand on plugins and daws and hardware, or why then trying to compete(like trying to get the best sound possible, soundesign, caring about arrangement, mixing, mastering, running thru expensive software/hardware etc.) if it's just a hobby, at the end just to show our friends? Musicians, producers, who are making music don't get the deserved results, distributors do, labels do, daw, vst devs do, streaming portals etc. making off money from probably poorest guys in the industry. So what's the point guys, don't get me wrong, it's only my opinion after couple of years doing music, I'm just upset with how things going so far.
