Hi, I've been looking at some chord progressions from artist like madeon and I've noticed that most of the times he uses simple triads in his chorus. He just uses a normal F Major chord for example, while in his verses and intro etc he uses more different chords. I've noticed this with a lot of other artists aswell.
Is there any specific reason these people do this? Or is just that they like how the progression sounds? Because I always thought using add9 chords or suspended chords would make things more interesting. Or maybe it has something to do with how they use a lot synthesised sounds?
