For example, this track is 150 bpm but the first drop is written in halftime, almost giving the effect that the BPM is only at 75 (the kick on every 1 and 3 beat, snare on 2 and 4) Now, the second drop has much more of a house type of feel, which in this song makes sense to utilize that 150 bpm for the house styled drop. But, not many trap influenced songs I have found do this (and are still sounding like it's written in halftime). Am I missing something? Is there an advantage to having this structure in these songs?
