Hi all,
New to /r/edmproduction. I have looked through the rules and I don't think I'm breaking any but please tell me if I am.
I've been using ableton for around 5 days now. It's been really fun, and I've so far spent around 3 hours a day just learning things.
The first day I learnt the basic layout of it etc. and the following days I learnt about using impulse to create backing drums etc., synths, arps with midi... you know.
I've made a few "songs" that are a minute long but I had to use a lot of samples and just add my own drums, synth, arps.
I'm not sure what to do now as all my samples are in different keys, different BPMs etc. and it makes the song sound like a piece of patchwork. (I can post the songs if you want but I won't unless asked as I don't know if it's breaching rules)
What do I go about working on now? How do people make the sounds like in the samples?
Thanks
